GLENN DEARING

Building on a 20-year commercial photographic career, Glenn Dearing is transitioning into the fine art world. His art and personal work has always informed Glenn’s commercial work, as evidenced by his love of analogue processes and historic cameras. Over the past several years, Glenn has honed an historic process called wetplate.

Wetplate is a Victorian chemical & silver based process, whereby an image is processed onto glass or tin. Let’s call it alchemy. The results are stunning and perfect in their unique imperfection. To Glenn, importance lies in process, craft and an end result like no other.
